Stokke AS has issued a recall in Australia of a limited number of Stokke® Scoot™ strollers.
The safety warning Use this harness at all times is not included on the harness of a limited number of the AUS/NZ version of the Stokke® Scoot™ as required by AS/NZS 2088:2000, 11.1 (e).
The hazard associated with the affected products is that consumers cannot read the safety warning and there is a risk that the harness will not be used. If the harness is not used, there is a risk for the baby to fall out of the stroller.
Stokke® Scoot™ sold in Australia May – August 2013.
The recall affects:
The affected strollers are of a limited number within the serial number range of 0024764 to 0025055.
If you have an affected product, please register in the form below or contact Stokke customer service for arrangement of rework of your stroller with a new harness with correct safety warning.
Until the stroller is reworked with correct warning on the harness, consumers may still use the product after they have read the safety warning (see picture).
Stokke reminds the consumers to use the harness at all times when using the Stokke® Scoot™.
This is a precautionary recall and no accidents, injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with the identified missing safety warning on the harness of Stokke® Scoot™. This recall is being undertaken to ensure the safety of our customers as an ongoing commitment to maintain the highest possible standards of safety and product quality at all times.
The Stokke® Scoot™ is distributed globally. However, the version distributed in Australia is a specific Australian/New Zealand version due to compliance with national standards for strollers in Australia and New Zealand. The affected AUS/NZ-version of Stokke® Scoot™ is limited to Australia. A very limited number of strollers have been sold in New Zealand, these are tracked down and rework of the strollers has been arranged.
Stokke AS apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
