Job function
A Stokke account manager (AM) is typically responsible for approx 30-50 retailers, depending on geography and account profiles. It may be as the only representative of Stokke within the market, or as an area responsibility within a country. (Account mix will include a range of retailers including small independents to large multiples and branch calls). The Account Manager role handles a wide variety of tasks including planning, budgeting, cost control, sales to retailers, installation of displays and POS materials, merchandising, product training, account performance follow-up, reporting and administration, etc. However in addition a strong grasp of commercial and sales skills is a pre requisite.

Commercial education
- Education as salesman or key account manager.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing to a high standard in the local language as well as in English.

Experience required
- Experience with developing distribution and sales for branded goods with excellent results (as perceived by management and customers).
- Experience with motivating and training retail sales personnel and implementing company strategies in retail environments.
- Experience with guiding and supporting customer service department to the benefit of customers in regards to orders, complains, logistics coordination and other relevant support functions.
- Ideally experience of selective distribution policies of exclusive/up-market products/brands.
- Experience from competitive sales cultures.
- Experience with both small independent retailers and also sophisticated multiple retailers.

Special requirements
- Fluent in English.
- Additional language skills would be an advantage.
- Good PC user experience (preferably Lotus Notes, Microsoft office).
- Ready to implement the visions, philosophies and strategies of the company.
- Flexible and mobile. Hard working and dedicated.
- A domestic environment which allows traveling / staying away and occasional weekend work at consumer shows. (approx 4 weekends per year)
- Ready to accept changing structures in the area based on market performances and company needs.
- Valid clean driving license.
Main job responsibilities
Developing sales and distribution
- Prioritization of areas and customers.
- Work out distribution and sales development plans for the area.
- Find, evaluate and activate relevant trade partners according to Stokke policies.
- Contract negotiations and implementation of Stokke’s requirements to retailers.
- Secure selective distribution requirements are fulfilled with all customers at any time.
- Continuously follow up customers to secure stock level of all items and agreed product presentation.
- Continuously follow up on agents work (Ireland) to secure that Stokke`s selective distribution requirements are fulfilled.
- Continuously improve merchandising in stores, including installation of in store equipment and point of sales materials.
- Use approx. 4 -4.5 days per week for customer visits (1 day admin).
Training and Coaching
- Ensure all retailers’ staff receive training through own coaching and/or other company training support.
Service and Support
- Support efficient order transmission and processing.
- Work with customer service to ensure the markets get the service they need.
- Communicate procedures and routines which help improve support through customer service.
- Support preparation of sales forecasts by delivering updated data to CS on a regular basis.
- Support the implementation and successful realization of all sales programs and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure company complies with requirements from retail chains.
Reporting and analysis
- Use Stokke’s SBO reporting and PPW (Analysis) according to best practices and guidelines.
- Prepare various reports on visits, sales, presentations and other relevant customer data for management and own use/preparation regularly and on request.
Other functions
- Gather and share news on market and on competitor’s developments/activities and other relevant information helping Stokke to better understand the market, competitors, customers and results.
Remuneration
- Salary depending on experience (Basic and bonus).
