We are all concerned for our environment and the effects that our actions have upon it. In today´s modern world, caring for our children means more than providing them with safety, comfort, and protection. Caring for our children means also caring for the planet that they will inherit.

From our very beginning, and the first Tripp Trapp children’s chair, we have made every effort and endeavour to use environmentally friendly, biodegradable materials. As we continue to strive to create and develop innovative products that provide you with the assurance and peace of mind that only Stokke products can. Our pledge to continuously develop and explore new energy saving production techniques, fuel efficient shipping, and distribution methods, will meet our demands to preserve our planet not only for our children, but for generations to come.

Longevity

Perhaps the least discussed and most neglected topic in relation to products and our environment is longevity. Longevity is most often neglected because it is perhaps the hardest criteria for any product to achieve.

Transport

CO2 emissions and fuel consumption impact our environment in ways that we are now only beginning to understand.
At Stokke we transport all our products through modern and efficient logistics channels. Based upon warehouse hubs and the principle of moving large stock volumes at a time, we actively reduce transportation rates and frequency, reducing emissions, lowering fuel consumption, and optimizing transit routes.

Corporate ethics

At Stokke we actively supervise, overlook, and closely follow every aspect of material development, production, and distribution for all our products. From the growth of natural wood and organic fibres used in Tripp Trapp, Sleepi, Care, and Keep, to the complex plastic compounds and aluminium types employed by Xplory. From the packing of each final product to their shipment, distribution, and display at your nearest retailer. At each step of design, development, and distribution, we ensure not only standards in quality, production, and safety are achieved but that we continue to maintain to do everything possible to reduce emissions and protect the environment.
Every supplier, business partner, and member of our value chain co-sign a code of conduct agreement that outlines our joint responsibilities, to make certain proper practice in working conditions, pay, and production.
As a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative Norway, Stokke is an advocate of ethical trade practices. Ensuring that international trade does not contravene human and labour rights, economic development, or the environment.
Furthermore, ethical trade also signifies our embracing of social responsibility in a wider sense by opposing illegal and unethical practices such as corruption and cruelty to animals.
