Press release from CPSC on 11th December 2007 regarding Stokke® Xplory®

After a quality problem in the front wheels of Stokke® Xplory® was discovered in May 2007, Stokke notified on 31 May 2007 the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and other relevant product safety authorities globally.

In the interest of user safety, Stokke immediately upon those notifications started implementation of a global retrofit in order to reach out to product owners with a request to replace front wheels on all affected strollers.

Now, on 11th December 2007, the CPSC has decided on a wording of a press release concerning that same case. The substance of that press release is the same as communicated by Stokke in notifications to the product safety authorities in May 2007 – and the same as subsequently communicated to retailers and users in the markets.
