Tripp Trapp® - The chair that grows with the child.™

    Introduction

This brief presentation includes safety reminders to help you and your child to enjoy the Tripp Trapp® chair from infancy to adulthood.

The Tripp Trapp chair® is much more than a conventional highchair – it's an innovative adaptable concept that delivers comfort, safety and correct ergonomic

Learn how to adjust your Tripp Trapp® chair

For your child’s comfort and to achieve the best circulation, simply adjust the seat depth (1) of your chair so that it permits two to three fingers of space between the back of your child’s knee and the front of the seat. To set the foot rest, adjust it so that your child’s knee, when sitting, is at a 90-degree angle (2).

Because the footrest acts as a floor (2), it allows your child to balance and comfortably shift their weight. At every development stage, there are three vital growth points to consider: your child’s back, their upper leg and lower leg. When properly adjusted, all of these will all be fully supported. For optimal ergonomics, the double curved seat back (3) enables your child to sit in a natural, fully-supported position, without placing stress on their developing spine.

Learn how to sit at the table with your Tripp Trapp® chair

Adjust to a seat height that allows a comfortable reach at normal table height (4).
    About 72 to 76 cm or 28.35 to 29.9 in with a 90-degree elbow angle (5).

Bond with your family around the table

The Tripp Trapp chair allows your child to be seated at your table. Enabling the all-important bonding and social development that occurs at mealtimes. For your child’s safety, parents should always stay within arm’s reach of their child and never leave them unattended.

Find the right Stokke® accessories for your Tripp Trapp® chair

For your child’s safety, please remember to use only Stokke® accessories with your Tripp Trapp® chair. Accessories that are not manufactured by Stokke® have not been tested and safety approved.

The Tripp Trapp ® Newborn Set can be used from birth up to around 6 months when your child is normally ready to begin sitting unaided.

When your child can sit upright on the floor unaided, you can begin using the Tripp Trapp® chair together with the Baby Set.

For added safety, we have developed the Stokke® Baby Set Harness to be used together with the Baby Set on the Tripp Trapp® chair. Our harness has been designed with five points and is adjustable. This means that your child will be comfortable and secure while still able enjoy full freedom of movement. Please remember that since your baby is constantly growing you need to re-adjust the Stokke® Harness on a regular basis

Most important: never leave your child unattended.

Use your Tripp Trapp® chair safely

The included extended gliders easily attach to the base of the high chair and should always be used when the Tripp Trapp®Newborn Set or the Baby Set are being used.

When using the Tripp Trapp® chair, always place it on a stable, level surface that doesn’t prevent the chair from sliding backwards. The extended gliders facilitate sliding rather than tipping.

Carpets, rugs or uneven floors are not suitable surfaces for using Tripp Trapp® chair safely at the table as these surfaces could prevent the chair from sliding backwards.

The Tripp Trapp® chair is not designed for use as a step stool or to be used with a booster seat. The chair should never be used with any accessories not manufactured by Stokke – as they could affect the safety and stability of the chair.

For safety reasons, please remember to always remain within arm’s reach of your child and never leave them unattended.
